I have a prayer
request
for my
younger
brother.
My mom
called
to let me
know that
he has been
diagnosed with heart disease, serosis of the
liver and tumors in his colon.
He had the tumors removed on Friday or Saturday and is
recovering at home. My mom said the tumors were
not cancerous which is good.
He has been estranged from our family for many years,
but calls my parents on holidays or if he needs money.
I don't even have a picture of him.
He clearly needs a lifestyle change and I'm praying
for him to evaluate his relationship with God.
I truly do not know if he has asked God to be his
Lord and Savior. He has been exposed to God through
church, family, Bible studies and people who have
loved him over the years and have tried to help
him.
God knows what Jon needs and I hope that our prayers will
lift him up and encourage him. Thank you all so much.

prayers...
ReplyDeleteHappy Heart Day!
It sounds like Jon has missed out on a lot of living. You're right. God knows. I will pray for Jon. Sad.
ReplyDeleteI am praying with you for Jon. If you would like a prayer button for Jon, go to: http://richgifts.blogspot.com and ask Edie to make you one. She does them free for urgent prayer requests. It is her ministry. She is a very sweet lady and a friend of mine. Just tell her I sent you. Then we can all place them on our blogs. She can design something without a picture. She did one for my brother in law a while back using an ocean background b/c he loves the ocean. Anyway, Edie is a great woman of faith, prayer warrior, and friend. You will love her.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
andrea
I will be praying for him for sure. Isn't it hard when they are far away from your everyday family emotionally? My brother is the same way and although he is not estranged, it is still tough.
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your prayers and encouraging words.
ReplyDeleteYour brother and your family is in my prayers! I pray that God will send laborers across his path and that his eyes will be opened!
ReplyDeleteThere's a part in the prayer in the following post that might encourage you:)
