If I were a flower what kind would I be? I think about flowers a lot. They are so beautiful and so intricately created by God and each one is so different.
I love them in yards and if they would last forever I would have a vase or two in my house at all times. I won't turn down a bouquet or a dandelion, but I prefer flowers in their natural state.
One of the first dates my husband took me on was to the Botanic Gardens. We walked for hours and talked about all kinds of stuff. Those were the days. The azaleas and Rhodie's were beautiful and huge. There were daffodils, Lillie's and ponds with plants in and around them. What a beautiful memory. Thank you, God for your creation.
So what would I be? A daisy or a bunch of daisies?
The daisy is so simple, yet so beautiful and perfect looking. They were at their best on the 4th of July this year. But you know what?...They stink! I couldn't believe had bad they smell. Oh well, they are still pretty.
I don't know the names of these little cuties, but they are hiding in the sand dunes by the ocean in tall grass. How perfect for me, by the ocean. So small no one will bother them except some cute little kids might pick them.
I think these are snapdragons. Kids like to pick these and use them
as finger puppets. At least I did. They fit perfect on two
fingertips and they look like a little mouth. God has a
sense of humor to create a finger puppet.
Then there's this guy. He just looks luscious and green and delicate all year long. I like that idea.
I think I'd like to be this beautiful and live amongst the other bedding plants. I'd love to be purple too. Look at the cute little face!
Or I could be a huge bush covered with little purple pom poms. I'd have to like bees buzzing around me a lot. Of course the bees wouldn't sting me so that'd be okay. Just sit there looking gorgeous all day. People stopping to look at me and take my picture. Hummm.... stardom sounds good.
Most of all I would want to be this bleeding heart bush. How utterly perfect to be covered with perfect hearts. Representing love. God's love for us. Our love for Him and others. The PERFECT plant to be.
"For God so loved the world that He gave
His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes
in Him shall have everlasting life." John 3:16

Hi, Nannette~
ReplyDeleteHow have you been? I just love your pictures you have been posting lately of all the flowers. I am a flower ADDICT! I love them all. My favorite would have to be wildflowers. Just a bunch of different kinds in a bouquet....BEAUTIFUL! For YEARS, my DH thought my favorite was roses. They are beautiful but to me, they STINK! lol
I pray you are doing well, my friend. I just LOVE reading your posts!
Blessings~
Laura
Very pretty pictures. When the kids were little I was soooo into gardening. But now, I am really not and my garden shows it. I really need to either get back into it or get rid of it.
ReplyDeleteNanette, I love the bleeding heart picture. It is captivating. Did you take that?
ReplyDeleteI think I would be a rose. ;)
Love the way you think!
ReplyDeleteEach flower has you hooked.
I love watching bees go from flower to flower on my lavendar.
How's the job hunt?
If I were a flower, I'd be a violet! That might not be what I am, but that's what I'd like to be:)
ReplyDeleteYour bleeding heart is amazing! Mine have never done well. I have tried lots of different ones and different local but the are still spindly and never get full and never bloom. Do you have any hints?
ReplyDeleteI don't know what kind of flower I would be but I love flowers. Always have. I am sure I always will. I am so allergic and still I delight in having them in my house. I would rather take all my allergy meds than give up the glory that God has given us in the beauty, scent and color.
